Highlight from Prof. Godwin Onu's project commissioning & public lecture


The event which took place for two days at the Federal polytechnic oko,a man bra state.


The Honourable  Minister of education Professor Anthony  Anwuka has commended the Rector,  Professor  Godwin Onu for giving  the institution a facelift.  He stated that the eight years of Professor Onu's administration  at Federal Polytechnic, Oko have been progressive and productive. He urged the staff and students to embrace  management of the institution and avoid rancour. He pleaded with staff to reduce petition writing and pursue productivity. The Honourable  Minister, Professor Anwuka urged management to put the interest  of staff paramount as a means of enhancing productivity. Professor  Anwuka promised that the Ministry  of education will continue to identify with Federal Polytechnic, Oko.



Air Vice Marshal Chuks Okpala has urged polytechnic managers to promote entrepreneurhip among students. Air Vice Marshal was speaking at a Public Lecture to mark the eight year tenure of Professor Godwin  Onu.  He stated that such practical studies will help reduce unemployment in Nigeria.  Air Vice Marshal Okpala urged the institution to key into some technological initiatives at the Federal  Ministry of Education. He stated that research  efforts at the polytechnics should aim at adding value to raw materials. He stated that polytechnics must improve on research and development.




The Chairman Governing  Council, Federal has commended Professor  Godwin  Onu for his contributions to upliftment of Federal Polytechnic, Oko. Chief Amado was speaking  at a lecture organised in honour of the outgoing rector of the polytechnic, Professor Godwin Onu. The Council  Chairman. Engr.  Lasbery Amadi stated that the Rector,  Professor  Godwin Onu has left  a big shoe for his successor.  Engr.  Amadi stated that the Governing  Council is currently having very cordial relationship  with the rector. The Council Chairman  prayed God to bless the rector in his new areas of endeavour.
